SEND
Our mantra for SEND is:
“All teachers are teachers of children with special educational needs.”
Quote taken from SEND code of practice 2015.
At St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School we meet regularly to review the quality of teaching for our children and to put into place intervention strategies for any children at risk of under achieving. This means that, where appropriate, we may need to review strategies and improve teacher’s understanding of specific needs. As part of this we may source Outreach from specialists.
We use the EEF guidance ‘Five-a-day’ and embed the key principles into all our lessons.
