Global Learning

We are delighted to have been reaccredited with the British Council’s International School Award. The British Council said “It is testament to your whole school commitment to embedding a rich and creative range of international work…we value your continued support for international learning especially in this unusual year marked with lockdowns and school closures around the world”.
As part of our international work, we have been learning about inspirational people and their actions. As our partner school, Melherang Combined Farm School, is in South Africa, the whole school looked at the good work of Nelson Mandela. Year 1 and 2 have produced posters to deter people from littering, and will be going on a litter pick. Year 3 and 4 collected toiletries for those in need. Year 5 and 6 will be learning some basic First Aid to support the local community.
