Catholic Life and Mission

At St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School, everything we do is inspired by the example of Jesus Christ and the words of our patron saint, St Anthony of Padua:

Our mission is at the heart of school life and shapes the way we learn, pray, work and care for one another. We believe that every person is uniquely created in the image and likeness of God and deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and compassion.

We strive to help every child become the very best version of themselves by developing their God-given gifts and talents and encouraging them to use these in service of others. Through Religious Education, Prayer and Liturgy, Catholic Social Teaching and the wider life of the school, pupils learn that faith is not simply something we believe, but something we live out through our words and actions.

Gospel values underpin all aspects of school life. Through our Respect Rules, daily prayer, Gospel assemblies, Celebration of the Word and opportunities for service, pupils are encouraged to follow Jesus’ example by showing kindness, forgiveness, fairness and respect for others.

At St Anthony’s, Catholic Life and Mission extend beyond the classroom. Through initiatives such as Mini Vinnies, charitable fundraising, environmental projects, support for local communities and care for God’s creation, pupils learn how they can make a positive difference in the world around them. We aim to develop young people who are confident in their faith, committed to the common good and prepared to play an active role in building a more just and compassionate society.

We recognise parents and carers as the first educators of their children and value the strong partnerships we share with families. Working together, we seek to create a welcoming, inclusive and faith-filled community where everyone is supported, valued and encouraged to flourish.
